Luísa Pessoa is a Brazilian Portuguese (PT-BR) localization manager, and editor for digital and print media, with extensive knowledge in UX and localization services.

Before joining Google as a Language Manager, Luísa worked as a Senior Localization Specialist for Booking.com, as the Translation and Adaptation Editor of BuzzFeed Brasil, and as a Copywriter for the International Desk of Folha de S.Paulo, as well as the local editor for The New York Times International Weekly.

Luísa holds a Master’s degree in Social Anthropology and Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from The University of Campinas (Unicamp), Brazil, one of the most prestigious universities in Latin America.

Luísa also completed the Vocational Course for Translators and Interpreters of Associação Alumni (Brazil) and the Vocational Program for Literary Translators of Casa Guilherme de Almeida (Brazil). She is also trained on Project Management.
